In transport companies, each department deals with the transfer of data on paper documents, which is associated with their subsequent manual entry into the system. ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 is a solution for the selective acquisition of data from all kinds of documents. It does not require any manual sorting and entering of data. Using a single document flow, you can automatically process different types of documents, in this case, CMR, i.e. the international consignment note confirming the signing of a transport contract.
In order for the application to function correctly and acquire suitable information from the document, you have to create a layout that can search through the document and acquire the metadata you need.
After analysing the document and the client’s needs, we can extract the following data from the above-mentioned document:
- Place and date of issue
- Name and address of the sender and carrier
- Place and date of cargo receipt for transport, including the place of issue
- Name and address of the addressee
- Specification of the type of cargo, including information about the packaging method
- Weight or number of pieces or other information specifying the quantity of goods
- Characteristic features and number of loads
- Information about transport costs
- Information required for customs procedures.
