Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies have recently become the natural common choice of many organisations, and process mining perfectly complements this area.

An important element to successfully implementing robotisation in the organisation is the appropriate selection of the right process. It has to meet at least several of the following criteria:

• The process has to be based on stable and repetitive rules
• The data used in the process must be in a digital form
• The volume of activities to be performed has to be appropriately large
• There are significant periodic increases of the volumes of activities to be performed
• The extent of the process requires the employees to use several systems or applications
• The process requires the employee to perform repetitive activities.
